Celebrating BIPOC and Multicultural Hunters
At Hunters of Color, we are dedicated to hunting conservation and fostering a deeper connection to the land. Through our R3 program—focused on recruiting, retaining, and reactivating hunters—we work to ensure that people from all backgrounds can engage in and contribute to sustainable hunting. Alongside these efforts, we advocate for conservation policy, promote landscape stewardship, and provide resources and opportunities to help hunters build meaningful connections with the natural world.
I wish I had found a community like this when I was younger, because I definitely would have gotten into hunting a lot sooner.

I am a HOC mentor because I was lucky enough to have had family teach me what it means to be a hunter and now I get to pass that knowledge onto someone who didn’t have that opportunity. Plus it’s pretty amazing seeing someone falling in love with nature like I once did.

Our Impact
Thanks to the commitment and hard work of our ambassadors, each of our state-based Communities witnessed remarkable growth. In 2022, these Communities, comprised of passionate hunters, anglers, and conservationists, were able to recruit about 1000 new hunter-conservationists collectively. This achievement underscores the profound influence and positive change our ambassadors have brought to our mission.
